Okay it works sometimes..................but do I need the bluetooth ???
I originally had an iPhone paired to the zumo 660 and then hard wired to the autocom via a 2190v3 isolating box into aux2. However people complained that the speech quality was poor and also volume of phone was low. if someone started to speak before I had finished it was muted to 50%.
I then fitted a (2223) stereo bluetooth module to AUX3 and set the Zumo to pair to AUTO1 (thats the pairing name of the Autocom bluetooth module) for the headset. At the same time disconeccting the mic (yellow plug) between the zumo and part 2190v3.
I then had the choice to set the headset on the zumo to bluetooth headset, this prevents me from altering the volume on the Zumo however. Also I guess by doing this I could do away with part 2190v3 altogether, as all audio is being bluetoothed from Zumo to autocom.
Reports are that the audio although slightly distored is good and the volume is fine.
Okay so why the worry??? well the turn by turn directions sometimes dont come through (maybe its after I had a call).
Sometimes the AUTO1 drops out and will not pair again until i switch off the autocom by the ignition and start it up again.
I know I could choose to pair the iPhone direct to the Autocom Bluetooth, but I would lose the facility of seeing who is calling.
Just for the record the ZUMO is on the handlebars, the iPhone in my pocket and the Bluetooth module under the seat.
How have you done it ???
Regards
Bill
