When stopping for lunch whilst on a tour of the Pyrenees last week I went to power down my Zumo 660 only to find that the power button was missing, seems to have popped out and disappeared. Covered the hole with insulating tape for the rest of the trip and resorted to using the 'do you want me to stay on' screen prompt when turning the ignition off (powers up on ignition on). This all works fine and the GPS continued as normal. The one downside is when wanting to switch it on when away from the bike, in the hotel for example, you can't.
I have sent a report request to Garmin, gave up waiting on the phone, but imagine that they will want to do an out of warranty exchange for £150 odd which seems extreme for what is just a plastic part that should just snap into place.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so what happened?
