zumo 660 sound problem

Lost audio on two zumon motorcycle power/audio cables so far, work fine then stop working and sound comes out of speaker on back of zumo unit and not out of autocom put new leads on works fine through autocom again. One lasted 2 hours other 6 months, anyone had similar problems.

Had a problem with my Zumo 660 and a wired Starcom1 headset. I have now been through x2 with both loosing audio through the headsets without any obvious reason or explanation.

How have you resolved your problem?

This cable is a very high quality cable and should not break. I think they ship overseas.

Was the old problem the zumo thinking it was in a car mount and so transfered the sound to the speaker? Could have just been a bit of moisture between the contacts.

Not sure what causes the problem...this will be the third Starcom1 wired headset and microphone that has gone on the blink.

The first gave up altogether, the second had only x1 side of the headset working to nav comms, but both to Mp3; and now the third - this lost the microphone then a few days later both headsets went with all audio coming from the external speaker on the 660.

Hence my request to see how GSMan1 rectified the issue...or anybody else?
