I use the 660 on the bike hard wired into an old Autocom and it works just fine. Lately due to change of car I have also been using the in car sucker mount with the Zumo on the car windscreen which again works ok. However I would like to position the Zumo on a fixed mount in the car so was thinking of using a bike mount fitted to a dashboard bracket but what I need to know is if I buy another bike mount will I be able to get sound through the Zumo speaker rather than it being sent to the headphone output. On the bike I can only get sound to the Autocom and can't find any way of selecting Zumo speaker. Now you will obviously think why not disconnect the Autocom output on the bike and see what happens; this would mean me taking half the bike apart to get to the connection under the tank due to the way the stupid person wired it in...yes me! Does anyone know please, also would be after buying a bike mount for the Zumo 660 if anyone has a spare.

I think the Zumo car cradle has the standard Nuvi ball on the sucker bit. This should pop out of the cradle with very little force. If that's the case then have a look at one of these. I have one for my Nuvi 765T, sticks to the dash like poo to a shovel.

Thanks Bumpkin, I have tried the screen mount on the disc fitted to top of dash but want to mount on the dash front so it is out of my mine of vision..if that makes sense. Also the inbuilt mic is too far away to effectively work on phone calls too. Cheers anyway.

The solution to that bit of the puzzle is to buy a Garmin accessory mic which plugs into the Zumo mount.

Thanks chaps, I have a Brodit Proclip on its way which fits more securely than the vent clips, my S Max wont accept the normal vent clips due to design. Ordered a similar mount to the one suggested to clip into the socket though. Trying to do without a separate mic if possible, hence moving the sat nav closer. This is all temporary until I can source the proper Ford BT kit secondhand so trying to keep costs down.

You can pick up a Garmin mic. for as little as £7.00 which might be the cheaper option.....:nenau

Sorry may be misleading you the purpose is primarily to move the sat nav out of my field of view, improvement to mic would be a bonus.

When I connect a headset to the sound output jack that comes off the motorcycle mount, it disables the Zumo speaker. When I unplug the headset jack, the Zumo speaker works again. HTH
