On a brighter note; I've solved the bug where it constantly thinks it needs a software update from the updater app and My Garmin dashboard. 

i have all backed up!i'll get you started with a couple of phone no's from siam sq. , dont worry you will always know the best looking ones are the converted . Set your sights just off the top a bit and you shouldn't go that far wrong . You should go on a fact finding mission , should be worth it , try plenty you should soon learn .

Does anyone want these firmware versions....i have all backed up!

I've now spent 3 weeks working with Garmin on this v3.80 shutdown issue. They have had my Zumo 660 all of that time (I've now got a new one) - but they cannot sort the problem and my new unit also shuts down.
At their recommendation, I have now rolled back to v3.50 and am just updating the mapping on the new unit.
I suspect that Garmin are working pretty hard behind the scenes to sort this and I have been told that a new software release is not far away. I just wish they would be a little more transparent about the issue.

Mine shuts down with and without card.
So it has to be something else?
It used to shut down just when it was on the bike. Now it does all the time.
I am back to 3.5.
Any email address where we can send our feedback to Garmin?

Gone back to 3.5 no SD card still shuts down. In France at the moment so no 660 on the way home. Back to maps.
