COuple of things: Had a trip to Glossop yesterday from where I am in Buxton to pick up my Rallye 2 suit that a tosser was selling. Let the Zumo do the Nav and I went in My Discovery, thank god. It took me over some roads that if I had not been in the Disco there is no way I would have made it. These where nothing more than loose gravel trails ( great for the bike) if I had been in any other car I would have been screwed. ANyone else come across this?

Second thing, how do I set the Zumo to just record a route I`m pottering about on and then save it( if this can be done).
Cheers

You need to change the route avoidance. Go to tools (spanner icon), select Navigation, select Avoidance's and make sure you have selected "Unpaved Roads". If it is selected, then it shouldn't send you down unsuitable roads.

As for recording a route, the Zumo continually records a track, so if you specifically want to record a particular route, at the start, clear the existing track, then when you will be able to save that track when you finish your route.

Go into "tools", then select"user data", then select "manage trip Log", then clear trip log. At the end of your route, go back into ""manage trip log and select"save as route".

Hope this helps.
