I have used the GarminPOI loader to download the PocketGPS speed camera database into my Zumo550 however I advertantly selected kilometres rather than miles per hour. The Zumo is now incorrectly warning me of speed limits e.g. a 30mph limit is being coming up as a 19mph warning message.

I realise what I have done wrong in slecting kilometres but cannot get a fix that works. I have downloaded and reloaded both the Garmin POI loader and the PocketGPS database onto the Zumo and selected miles per hour as the unit of measure. Thoughts on a fix?

I've noticed the same after coming back from Europe this week and resetting my Zumo back to statute units, speed camera warnings are coming up in kilometers but with an MPH suffix.

I'm going to try the other database vendors (as suggested in this thread) as I've happily used the pocketGPSworld camera database on my Tomtom but didn't think to check if the do a Garmin version.

When using the POI loader, am I wrong, from memory, that you get the option of choosing speed or distance, when uploading the csv file, as the proximity setting and do you not select and specify distance :nenau

Could be, I normally use Mapsource for that sort of thing. Only used POIloader once or twice to upload some camping sites ...

Had to remove all the Mapsource, POI loader etc recently and then re-installed and forgot to select the mph option so yesterdays drive to and from Edinburgh had strange speed warnings :o

Just used poi loader to remove them, and then reinstalled again and after a simulated run seems to show the correct speed in the warnings at the top of the screen.

Good shout, I'll give that a go as well. To be honest I'll probably use the pocketGPS speed camera database instead (assuming you can set it up to have proximity warnings) but it would be good to have a solution to the KMH / MPH speed thing.

I use that, and the settings are configured in the poi loader.

When you transfer them onto the Zumo, do they appear in the same plasce in the menu as the Garmin speed camera POIs, or are they amongst the other POIs? Basically, can you set proximity warnings on and off on the Zumo?
