Does anyone know how to turn the feckin` speed camera warning off a Zumo 550 when it`s on audio!!

Went down to Thruxton today and the Swindon to Tidworth road is littered with alleged mobile speed camera`s. The system is great at warning you that something may be around but nags on like my ex wife.

I`ve worked out that even if there is no camera in the area, the feckin thing keeps beeping if you go 1 mph over the speed limit. Jeez, it`s annoying!!

Useless, distracting feature!!

Everyone in my house hates it. Just bought a 500 for the daughter turned this off before she used it today.

Go to the menu using the spanner button. scroll down to the last item ' proximity alerts'. Hit change. Then uncheck the 'Garmin safety camera' entry. press OK and it should be sorted:thumb.

Piece of cake.

Regards,

Path,

You can turn the alerts off by un-checking the Safety Camera database under proximity alerts.

You can turn the sound down by turn all sounds alerts down to zero but this includes routing information.

Currently (and I hope it changes) you can't mute the proximity alert alarm and keep turn instructions audible.
