Zumo to nav V change

It would seem that my Zumo 660 'as been nicked...

Out on the bike yesterday for a quick run to N Wales and while munching a sticky bun in the cafe - it was noticed gone at the end of the ride...

I was sure 'the boss' had popped it in the tank bag as we knew the way back, she thought I had

Rather than replace the 660 - I might as well look at the Nav V as well as a straight swap...
On an 1150 GSA I realise I wont get the whizzo features the "wheelie widget" gives me - but are the non-wheelie widget features any different to the 660?

I suppose it's a new mount that comes with it - no biggie... I can then sell off the two bike mounts i have for the 660 to offset some of the cost...

Where is a good place to get one, price-wise? (other than the ones that sold on here in the last fortnight )

The Nav V may well fit into your current mount; it certainly fits and works in the bog standard Nav IV / 660 Garmin mount.

That being said, you don't say what mount you are using for your 660.

Just be sure that you buy the right Nav V kit, as there are two:
The first comes with no mount (as it assumes that you have the factory fit mount and magic wheel thingy)
The second comes with the mount which has the (extra) four feature buttons on the lefthandside of the mount

And a good price/place to buy? BMW dealer locally is £625.00 inc. VAT

Also - if anyone has stuck it in a 660 car mount, do you get the traffic feature that is useful in a car... I bought the little additional aerial, great feature, alerts and re-routes around issues...

It should slot in OK.

I have a NAV V that slots into a Nav IV Garmin mount with the 4 buttons and into one without.

You have to give it a bit of a push, but only because the V has a slightly curved back, as opposed to a 660's flat aspect. The power contact points on both devices are identical.

Start ringing around the usual outlets.

It's a BMW branded product, so start with the dealerships. Inbetween calls, keep an eye on EBay and the FSW section here.

You've saved some money not splashing out on a new cradle; that'll take some of the sting out of it.

If you use the NAV5 in a zumo660 Automobile Mount you will not get Navigation Voice Prompts. There is no speaker in the zumo660 mount because the speaker is in the zumo660. The NAV5 has no internal speaker, the Automobile Kit (mount) has the speaker.
