TPS adjustment....still in warranty....

Isn't it strange but stainless steel does not provide a very good surface for paint to adhere to, and so it is in the case of the TPS adjusting/locating screws.

Now if you really must adjust the TPS because you feel the readings obtained with a GOOD quality digital voltmeter are not what they should be then treat this info with care, I take no responsibility for forfeited warranties or any kind of engine damage how so ever caused.

By careful application of really slow undoing torque (gentle hand pressure) it can be possible for the locking screws to be rotated without the sealing paint (blue) breaking or cracking off from the throttle body.....try this with a hot engine. Now adjustment can be made.

Should you be unsuccessful and the paint falls off than phone your dealer and tell them that you've just had the bike valeted and the paint been washed off......or you aimed the high pressure water jet at the TPS area and the paint just blew off, which is very likely to happen anyhow!

Alternatively say nothing and when next in for a service let them point out that the paints gone, "oh dear should there be paint on there then, first I knew of it."

Treat this with respect, it worked fine on #* GS and made no end of difference, improved overall with other mods detailed earlier.
