F650 gs Exhaust

Has anybody taken the restrictor out of the left hand exhaust. It looks like it will come out easily but is it worth it?
Or would I be better off buying a new pipe? if so any suggestions.

It's a real struggle to remove that restrictor and the wire wool that's behind it. There's some info <a href="http://faq.f650.com/GSFAQs/ExhaustModificationsGS.htm" target="_blank">if you click <b>here</b> courtesy of the Chain Gang FAQs</a>. Scroll about a third of the way down the page that appears. Removal of the restrictor adds a little more bark to the exhaust, but no more power according to the folks I've spoken to, who have done the *operation*.
