autocom

hi i have gps on my bike and i use the sound through a set of ear speakers off my ipod,a friend if mine is delling a new autocom 200 and i am wondering is it worth buying.
would i be able to use ipod and gps at the same time and would the sound quality be any better might be a silly question but i would appricate any advice.

I need the lead from the helmet to the plug thats stuck just under the front seat, would the straight 1Mtr lead be long enough or the kirly one ?
