Review of the R1150GS & Adventure

Oh yes indeed diddly doo

I have owned the following machines over the last 19 years :

Kawasaki AR80, Honda CG125, Honda CX500, Honda XBR500, Honda 400/4 (I clearly had a Honda fixation at the time!) Yamaha RD350YPVS (powervalve), Honda GL500 Silverwing, Kawasaki GPX600R, Kawasaki GT550, Suzuki GSX600F, Honda CBR1000F, (another) Kawasaki GT550, Kawasaki ZX10, Laverda 668, Yamaha 650 Dragstar, Honda CBR600F, Honda XL200, Honda VFR750F, Honda ST1100, BMW R1150GS, Ducati 749 (still got this!), Kawasaki KLR250 and finally (and that's my wife's words!!) my BMW R1150GS Adventure.

23 bikes in total and each one reminds me of a part of my life (good and bad!) but without a doubt, though I have fond memories of them all (except the second GT550 - dog!) The GS' have been the best, no doubt about it. maybe not as quick, meybe not as sharp, maybe not as fuel efficient (as the CG with over 120mpg!!) but they do EVERYTHING brilliantly.

:thumbThats why i changed to one too. Simply the best allrounder on the planet.:clap

So much so that when I saw what the new offering was, I quickly ran out and bought one of the last 2004 R1150 GS Adventures...as a spare...I already had a 2003 R1150 GS Adventure. :thumb
