if I were you I'd cut off the plug you have and use the one in the pic below, you can remove
the red ring to fit the BMW socket or put it on for Cigarette Lighter type, I might even have a
spare 90° one in the shed..
Hi, ref the yoke with the red bush...
I melted this while running a compressor on the gs, and when I pulled out the plug, the little pin-lad stayed in the grip of the socket.
The heat softened the nose of the plug and the pin is sprung by a fuse.
Epoxied back and used with caution.
Deffo recommend the john deere type plug with the cigarette lighter socket.
