Haven't seen ones of these for a while......................lovely bikes

I rode one once for a while in the 80's, when Yamaha Europe marketed them...............one absolutely storming bike................built to take on the factory BSA engined CCMs

Must be the most horny dirtbike Yamaha Europe ever marketed, just for 1 year only and they were massive money in early 1980's

They used tiny YZ80 tanks..................just enough for a 30 minute race

The one above in post 1 is a replica

This was the Lundin original bike and the pic alongside is the ex factory Huskie rider Bengt Aberg (now signed to Yamaha) racing to win, in the 1977 Luxembourg GP

The last pic is the Yamaha produced bike, which IMHO opinion is absolutely stunning with FoxShox sans Springs.................real 70's and 80's stuff

The last pic is of a USA spec HL in yellow - (USA always ran yellow plastics on their YZ Yams, whilst we got white ones)

We didn't get that over here did we? I only ever saw one in the flesh at the Natterjack in about 1980/1 and he ran out of petrol on the first lap(no one larfed at all :augie

Not as noisy, as you'd think

But look at that holeshot to the 1st corner................they have some serious drive, those Maico's ain't no slouches
