cheaper satnav

being a northern lad who likes a bit of a bargin, I did not buy a bike satnav but a navman . I have used it on the bike when its dry but I have now found this (linky) www.buybits.com/search.aspx?q=waterproof covers seems to be good value and well made

I have gone back to using maps. Much cheaper and more reliable.

in heavy rain, works fine no problems, find sat very useful for petrol stations and instructions in towns/cities I have never been to before, get insturctions via a headset from a battery powererd intercom that a mate gave me, can hear instructions at 85 mph, batteries last about 8 hours on constant use, but I can live with that as it cost me nowt, I also can if I choose to talk to my wife on the back, the wires are a bit of a pain but it was free and also keep a map book in my top box just in case, this was also free.

not tried it in heavy rain yet, but living in Scotland I'm sure it wont be long before its tested.
