Any ideas what these are for

The tangs welded on the back of this rear subframe, what are they for then peeps, I've not seen that before. The only thing that rings a bell is the carbon canister on US models.

Agree, not seen them on a subframe before, looks in good nick though and I can also see it has part of the seat mounts attached, as well as the foot rest mounts.

Going by this item which is described as towbar wiring for R1100GS it could have be added to support this

I fancy getting another rear subframe so that I can get it powdercoated and fit it without being off the road, any other 1100 riders fancy joining in to get one ?
