Side of Mamore Gap

There are two lakes on up this road
It steadily worsens , and turns to Moss

you were right - its the GS bus.

the heaviest, least manouverable GS there is.

as opposed to the 'GS-lite@ and the ubiquitous 1100. :)

nice effort there :thumb

Oh Brave One

I was waitin fir somewan tey say that !
Either o them wee Tracks get steadily worse
I have a sinkin notion that if The Civil One had continued on
he would have turned intey The Sinkin one !
Doubt the GS is too Heavy for them wans any way
I ll be out "N" about more cos i need some miles on mey Y piece
i reckon a good off roadin should prove its worth r Not.
The GS bottomed out today on the Gap track , big stones "N" stuff , the Y pice took a Brave shot , Its marked but fine , Happy
tey see it takin a slap well.

Here !

I'd be well up for that wee track at the weekend where is it ????

Here Boy : I want no Hanlins in these here parts .
I would probably git the Blame
Kina lick them Isewerance issue,s .
Id have a quare laugh at ye : Stuck : Down tey yer Cylinders .
Spose , it would gimme a chance tey aquaint meyself wey that
fine lookin wee lassie i see ye wey these Days.

Your Not soo Wee Friend in Dun N gall
But Damnabley Handsome !

You wannie see Tracks !

I,ll enlist the help of mey good Friend Goggles and his trusty
Tenere 660.
He will take ye tey places ye only dream of !
I will be about.
If it stays dry i will take a group {If there is one} into the hill.

I can see it now.....up into the wild and desolate hills O Donegal, slogging through bogs and cotton paddies only to be confronted with Civil, at the end of an entrepid ride, displaying all his beautifully crafted wares!

down to effin' cylinders reminds me of the boreen out to the Alcock and Brown site. Mind you, there was a lovely smell of a turf fire followed me round the rest of the day, until the skid pan burned itself clean!

aaarrgghh!

not fair. not fair at all!
i wanna go there / do that. i know the Gap well - but never explored it on a bike.
*drifts back to childhood memories of.....
the smell of turf fires, the smell of the sea and the smell of clutches burning out and brakes squealing as cars tried to descend the far side of the Gap!*
:D
Og.
and now a word from Spike Milligan;

"i must go down to the sea again,
the lonely sea and sky.
i left my vest and socks there-
i wonder if they're dry?"

(Lenan Strand of course;) )
