Just bought a Garmin Quest, fine bit of kit, but I only have Mac's in the house!!

Does anyone else use MapSource on a Mac using Virtual PC? How useable is it? I've got an iMac G5 and a PowerBook G4.

Cheers

I have a G4 and a PC so never tried it with VPC. I have met people who say it works fine though. Do it and find out.

All you'll need it for is to upload different maps. Or maybe you want to plan routes too...

Hi. I am using Virtual PC and Mapsource City Select V7 on a 15" Powerbook (2GB Memory) and it works OK but a bit slow to build the maps - transfer fine.

do you have a Quest also?

I have Virtual PC running on OSX10.4 on a G5 iMac and everything works except I cant get the machine to 'see' my Navigator II.

Any ideas/tips?

Quest + iBook G4 + Guest PC + Windows 98! = sorted :thumb

Only took you 15 months !!

But you never were very bright at navigation-related topics !

:D

iMac G4 + OS 10.4 + VPC + Windoze XP all fine except won't recognise Quest 2.
Garmin have announced that they will bring out a MacOS version of MapSource before the end of the year but everything's gone ominously quiet.
