I,ve read somewhere about shut off disconnects to aid removal of tank,any advice on best choice and supplier?. Also external fuel filter,is it worth fitting? thanks in advance. neil

Hi Neil,
Just after fitting two quick release fuel pipe connectors to my R1100Gs, 5min job got them from touratech £15 each.

Just fitted a set of quick release wotsits for the tank on my 2000 1150.
£27 approx for the kit from my BMWubblew dealer. Other threads on this subject have given the good advise of buying a spare set of 'O' rings at the same time as they are prone to split and cause havoc
