HP2 brake and clutch guards

Has any owners installed these Wunderlich guards and are they as good as Wunderlich say they are.

I think they'll cause more damage than they'll stop,if you see what I mean.Those resevoirs are pretty vunrable though.I just run mine with the levers loosened off a bit,so when it does all go tits up,the levers just turn instead of break.

Any other thoughts at all?
 
I never found the reservoirs taking any knocks when I was on my 1200GS. What I did do, is replace the little plastic triangular branch guard bracket with a bit of flexible rubber. This makes the guard more willing to flex in a drop and they seem to take the brunt of any hit.

As the guard is attached partly via the reservoir brackets, (at least on the 1200) this should indirectly protect the brackets.
