Help!!!
I've just done one of these work around connectors using the old ally controller tried it and it worked.
Just put the fuel pump controller back and nothings happening other than a click ing sound when the start buttons pressed any ideas?

I have the part numbers for the connectors from another site, would you happen to now where you can buy the two plastic connectors only

61-13-8-352-330 Blue plastic housing. Qty 1
61-13-0-007-571 Snap in receptacle with wire. Qty 2

Did this problem go away with later bikes or do I need to still carry a bypass? My 2005 GS controller failed and I bypassed it but not sure if this problem is relevant on a 90 anni?

Went away. Have a look at your fpc. If it's black, it's a new type and they seem to be sorted.

ah will do, mines a 2011, the only reason I was thinking about it, there were some water around the FPC and it looked a bit damp and had some crap in it, I cleaned & dried it all out and sprayed some ACF-50 all around the area

Looks great to me as a get you home solution.

Out of curiosity how much is a new FPC ?. My engine has stopped twice unexpectly and although my dealer couldn't find a fault , I can't help feelling it;s just a matter of time.

Nick

Te FPC is about £80 or 1/2 that if you watch the for sale adverts. If you fit a convenient work-around like the tread suggests the bike will run fine but the lack of pump controller is likely to get forgotten. Soon enough the pump will fail and cost a lot more than a new FPC.

The bypass wire direct to battery gets the bike home but it's far from out of sight out of mind so the proper repair gets done.

There is ample space for a spare FPC under the petrol tank side cover or under the seat tool tray. Wrapped in tough poly bag and bubble wrap it will be as good as new for when its needed. Alternatively use a bike rescue service as the original might well last the life of the bike and it wont help with a blown tyre.
