Iceland-the perfect base ?

Now I know all you ruffy tuffies like to camp it up,but I prefer 4 walls and running water.

I was reading an article in a mag the other day and came across the stunning Hotel Budir

which is about 2 hours north of Reykjavik :





The article raved about the place and the location is said to be stunning.




If I ever make it on a bike to Iceland,I know where I'll be heading.


Anybody stayed there by chance ?

... that was before it burnt down and refurbished - looks like they've done a grand job.

Stunning location .... and stunning hotel.
