A quick heads-up for those taking part in the Road Run on Saturday.
We'll meet about 09.30 in front of the hotel. That'll give the off-road boys a chance to get out of the way. And we'll be gone before 10.00, so don't be late. There'll be a short briefing before the off just so everybody knows what's happening.
As usual for a big group we'll be using the Drop Off System
If you're not familiar with it please have a look at the link.
Please arrive for the off with a full tank & an empty bladder. The morning & afternoon stops all have toilet facilities as does the lunch stop. The closest fuel to the hotel is in Tipperary Town (8km / 5mls) but unless you're coming in that way it means you'll have to head out again on Friday evening. The alternatives on the way in are Bansha (10km / 6mls) but they don't take credit or fuel cards , Cashel (28km / 16mls) or Cahir (24km / 14mls).
The outbound leg is about 150km / 95 miles and there is the possibility of fuel just before the lunch stop if you need it. The return leg is 140km / 85 miles with no fuel stop scheduled.
We'll be using mainly local & R roads so traffic will be light but we do have to cross a few main roads and ride through a couple of towns so extra caution is advised there. As always you partake at your own risk.
Take your time, ride safely and, above all, enjoy yourselves
