Many thanks go out to Spout and PDiddy for sorting one of the best days laning I've had in a long while :beerjug:

And special mention for Horse1200 doing stuff on his Adv that I struggled with on my 'Berg :eek :clap

It was a great day, even if it did get a little wet. I'm available most weekends if any of you guys want a re-run - :thumb

I too really enjoyed the day, so big thanks to Spout and Pdiddy for leading the ride, off roading doesn't get much better:clap:clap:clap

What did I miss?
some of the guys shot off about five pm as they needed to get back, Horse, Pdiddy and me decided to work our back to Ripley on the trails. As soon as this was decided the heavens opened.:(

Next time we'll have to try harder to find a trail that stops Horse

Might I suggest puddles deeper than three feet :D

I have ridden with him twice and he manages to get his quarter ton of GSA through stuff some pogo's cant.

Brilliant day great views of the Peak district from up high, will have to pop back on the GS for a longer visit

Looks like a good day.

Good for some. I only lasted a minute or so when the group split between Hardcore and Gentle Bimble...

It doesn't quite look right does it.

This was after I'd been escorted home by MickBD1, and the rest of the gang, with a damaged front end. :blast (BTW, thanks for the national speed limit and 70mph without any front retardation mechanism.)

Mick was much better than me. :thumb

If you look carefully it's possible to just see the shiney bit near the bottom of my front mudguard: That's brake fluid that is.

Tea is not going to help Mick. :thumb2

As well as my right hand and arm, this got a hammering. :(

That's the marks of the right hand switchgear interfacing with the tank when the lockstop snapped.

It was the fracture of the silvery part seen here which stopped the show. It's a front brake distributer. It fractured when the RHS fork smacked it a millisecond after the lockstop failed. :comfort

I only have to replace the distributor, and the top yolk, then bend my Tobinators back into shape and straighten the handlebars, workout why my twist grip has a click and ignore the dents and scuffs. :augie

So, thanks for the patience of the team and a special thanks to Crapaud for riding my bike down the rocky trail to safety. :angel

Hope the bike and your finger are now better. I didn't mind too much on missing out the hardcore ride as I was still struggling with a wrist injury from two weeks before. Would have loved to have thrown my old 1100 around with the others but it was not to be. Great night off-roading with Mick and others on the Friday night but my wrist was very swollen and hurting after about half an hour so wouldn't have survived all day Saturday.:(

Some lovely rides around there so I'll definitely be back.

Thanks again to all who organised the rides.:)

Cheers. :beerjug: I realised on Sunday that it was three fingers and my forearm which were damaged, just like the bike. The more you look the more you find. :blast

When I find my smaller bike I'm going to visit Mick for a rerun. Perhaps he'll organise a small group. :thumb2

No need, just keep the one you've got on the trail and stop squaring up to walls you belligerent swine.

Mine had a little sleep on Friday night as well, just a few scratches

:D I could do but it's just too heavy for my L5 & L6 collapse. Besides, the wall took me on and I had no intention of provoking it whatsoever.

Better luck next time I suppose. Hoipefully Mav will turn up and do another run. :thumb2

BTW, thanks to Clive for taking me into Ripley to find the parts to patch up my bike. :beerjug:
