Random Guzzi Shit

That's interesting - was it a bobber to start with? I didn't recognise the potential in those newer models but I really like that and it doesn't seem like they have had to do a great deal to it to achieve the look.

AFAICS it's an older 350/500. Tiny little things and they lend themselves well to this sort of treatment. There's a few scrambler/off road specials out there using the old 'small block' engines.

I REALLY like the flouro green one above it. The colour against pretty much everything in 'primer' grey (including the exhaust) just works for me. Also, which I've not seen before but I think works really well, are the round rocker covers on square barrels, it softens the angular shape of the barrels nicely. If I could change one thing it would be a slightly less squared of seat cowl which I think looks out of place......other than that I think it's one of the nicest Guzzi cafe racers I've seen :)

Following this post I took a look at 500 Guzzis on sale here in Spain, this looks like an interesting project for someone - not me sadly! - it's an Italian police bike on sale in Spain (Balearic Islands) but never registered here:

Someone has changed the spelling of 'Policia' from the Italian 'Polizia' - I wonder why?

That fairing is something else! Reminds me of some 70's American things, 'Vetter' I think?

I’m guessing that fairing never saw the inside of the wind tunnel :D

........yet, ironically, Guzzi were the first (only?) manufacturer to have their own wind tunnel on site :D

You know that it's likely to be 'challenging' but it's coolness will make up for that all day long.

Absolutely - a bike like this needs a special owner who can look after it properly. Even then, I'd expect almost as many hours of heartache as hours of riding...

But when it's on song and running sweetly, I'd be grinning like an idiot chug chugging around on that. Just looking at it makes me happy! :D:D
