I parked in a hotel car park today and the only thing I could find to chain the bike to was a lamp post which was rather thick at the bottom. My chain is not very long so I had to park with the front wheel very close to the lamppost and as I pushed the bike off the centre stand to ride home, the spotlight hit the lamppost. The plastic casing around the connecting bolt has broken off.

Does anyone know if the plastic cover is a separate part that I can buy? The light works fine so only the plastic cover needs replacing.

Failing that what is the best glue for me to use to try and repair it? Super glue? It doesn't weigh much so maybe the right glue will do the job.

Cheers
Mike

Oh, didn't know they did LED ones. Something for the Xmas list perhaps. Do they just plug in at the light using the same socket or do you need to change the wiring?

I'll look for a replacement part on Monday, don't think a cable tie would work. There is a piece of plastic the size of a match box still attached to the bolt on the bike.

Thanks for all the responses.
