XT600s are never fun, they are a horrid little bike, particularly for anyone used to the class and quality of our airheads.
Or even a Funduro.
Worst bike I have ever owned / ridden.
But I have never ridden a Harley--------!
The Spy on Motorcycle Sport did a year long comparison in the early / mid 90s , riding each bike for two or three weeks, and reached the same conclusion.
FWIW he bought the test 900 Cagiva Elephant---------.

I picked it up cheap, complete but in bits. Its not really my style, just wanted to bring it back from the scrapheap. Ill sort it out and probably flog it as not really my style. I may or may not use the proceeds to fund a harley project

The airheads (and my oilhead) on the other hand *are* keepers.

Just make sure that if you do decide to work on bikes, other than airheads, that you put it past Beemerboff first.
