opinions on shad panniers please, preferably from someone who has had them,ta.

bought rails and a topbox for a honda

3+ years use outta it - bike is gone

bought online from EU via ebay - box from germany rails from france (new) far cheaper inc post than shad themselves

My CRF 1000 AT pannier inner bags are SHAD, I suspect the actual Honda Panniers are too. Very happy with both of them.

I had a set for my S1000XR - good quality, no issues at all.

For that particular bike the frames pushed the panniers out more than the BMW units but it was fine.

Significantly cheaper than OE and no real downside as far as I could tell.

Sid, have you tried the Honda OEM ones? I like the fact that they're integrated and are 96cm wide fitted, like both the top box and NS box for their square interior. OS/Exhaust side is a bit of a pain in the arse like the old BMW system panniers but overall they'd fine. One up touring with them is a breeze, just done a 2 up 9 day tour and we really could have done with 2 x 40litre panniers rather than a 40 and a 30...solution for us will be a larger after market top box (I think the Honda top box is 35lt so a Shad or Givi at 48-50 would be ideal)

have thought about the oe honda ones, but they seem pricey, will probably trie shad.
