I got the same response last week, I’ve changed the battery and see what happens. Bike is 17 months old
I don’t mind the fact the fault has developed but it’s the “reluctance” to sort it and the negative impression given that grates.....

Send an email to BMW uk explaining that you will have the bike picked up every-time on warranty costing them a lot more than a replacement keyfob, bet your dealer suddenly orders a new fob, and then change dealer if you can, that is shite service.
Well, bike is back from its service and now with a new key fob as (surprise, surprise) the original was faulty........
Hopefully now problem is solved.
