How busy was Skye ?
hat road up and down to Applecross must be the worst road in Scotland yet droves of bikers go up and down it regularly.
After leaving Skye we followed the A87 headed towards Fort William. We dodged the rain clouds , well, most of them and as everything on Skye seemed closed on a Sunday morning we were soon looking for a coffee stop and came across this place called The Cluanie Inn. The coffee was hot and the surroundings were comfortable and dry so we took a few minutes for a leg stretch and hot coffee...
You need to remember that you and I can do it on a day run from home..
You need to remember that you and I can do it on a day run from home....others may not be so fortunate, and that day may be the highlight of their trip. I personally think, as do you I guess, that Applecross is a victim of its own success, but we are the lucky ones! Personally, I think its best visited in February when there's no other fucker there, take the car and stay at the Applecross Inn!
It was £20 each for the nights camping which included the breakfast which was worth it just for the surroundings!!
That place reeks of the British establishment.
I knew there was a lot of history about the place but didn’t quite realise what it was or who he was.....
