Gone is the old 744cc motor in favour of a new 850cc engine based on the mill in the V85TT. It’s not the same engine though – Guzzi say it’s all new and with it comes different (read lower) power figures.

The new engine makes 63bhp and 53.8 ftlbs, which is a significant boost compared to the previous 50bhp engine but also a bit of a let-down when you consider the V85TT makes 79bhp. This time around Moto Guzzi are also producing an A2 compliant reduced power version, which might help it hook in some new riders.

I like that .....

i am surprised that it still only has the one disc up front, but looking forward to seeing the youtube tests and reviews.maybe the last year for the aircooled guzzi`s?

I've always thought the shape and size of the cylinders on the 750's never looked 'quite' right in relation to the rest of the bike. This lump looks much better proportioned (at least, they do in these photos).

I'm not overly keen on the styling of the blue one above but think the 'Stone' version looks ok. It'l be interesting where they go with the various models they are sure to bring out........

Ore

Looks a bit more grown up than the old bike , very nice :thumb2

How much will it be though ? The Original could be had for about £4.5k new in 2008. That’s going to be £8+ .

It’s all relative .

A GS could be had for under £ 10k in 2008. Now it’s double that .

That’s rich coming from a man who’s owned a number of BMW’s ;)Ugly is the new beautiful:D.

That new V7 does look nice!

You owned all the ugly BMW’s not me

The 1150 Adv is a design icon

The V85TT isn’t a looker and I see it most days in Teasdales window, as I go around the roundabout in Thirsk’s one way system

I like it. It doesn’t need 100hp, and most of the updates seem sensible. Certainly more handsome than the V85. The special is a slightly odd colour combination but I agree with Andres that the larger engine block looks better balanced. I’m hoping little or no commuting next year will mean room in the garage for a Stone. I guess there will be more colour options?

Well, I think the V85 is a cracking looking bike. Having said that, I still think the SAAB 99 Turbo is the best looking car ever produced and Kate Bush the best looking woman to walk the face of the earth.

I like the look (apart from the speedo) of the new V7 though, there's something about twin pipes that just balance the look of a bike.

My mate has a black and gold 2008 V7 in his garage that he kind of wants to sell....very low mileage...Haven’t really got room in my garage but it does look nice.
He’s not ridden it for months.....
