I bought Helibars for my 2017 1200 as I needed quite a bit narrower bars to get through my back gate.

I took them off when I got rid of that bike but I’ve now got a new 1250 ordered.

When I was moving the bars while tidying my shed I noticed they were specifically stamped GS 1200. That’s got me a bit worried now.

I was assuming they would just bolt straight on. Am I correct?

I have silver 2017 r1200gsa BMW oem handlebars installed on my 2020 r1250gs. I prefer the silver colour over the black bars supplied on the 1250.
A straight swap.
An indirect answer to your question I know, but I would infer from my experience that your Helibars would fit your new bike.

When did you buy them? Probably just a simple case of they were originally designed before the 1250 came out so at that stage the only fitted the 1200

Just last year. They were new in box but I got them cheapish so they were probably old stock.

You’re right I’m probably worrying over nothing.

Hexhead 1200 to LC 1200 had different bars

1200lc/ 1250 apart from colour should be the same

pop over to WWW.realoem.com, and look at both sets of bars 1200lc / 1250 lc

if its the same part numbers your ok, bearing in mind silver & black will have different part numbers

your looking for the diameter measurement

All bars are same except color, 1200/1250 helibar all is same model
