I bought a Nitron unit to replace the tiered original shock. It’s a great piece of kit but the stock size rear tyre rubs against the spring so obviously no good.
What have people fitted?
I checked with Tractive and Willbers and both of them would have the same issue as the spring O/D is 84mm or greater.
I know the YSS is a cheaper option anyone tried one. I use the bike two up and loaded for travel.

Have you checked there's no offset to the shock mount? then as redboots use a spacer. I've an F shock and that's fine but there is an offset to the mounts.

Not sure 2 mm will be enough but it’s worth a try. The Nitron is offset as much as it can be on the top mount.
Out of interest what’s a F shock?

The one I have is 5mm.

Well that should do the trick, if your happy to lend it to me that would be great. I’m just outside Winchester so could pop up to collect and return it
If that works.

I know folk get the rear wheels rebuilt with differant offset in order to fit wider tyres. Could do same to get "spring clearance"
