Not far away.
Screen for my MM arrived yesterday :), managed to get it fitted in the evening. Pretty straightforward, and screen material is nice and thick and doesn't feel flimsy at all mounted on the bike.

It's nicely shaped, and countours down to the headlamp and around the top of the instrument panel nicely.

The best thing is - it works. A quick ride shows the wind pressure is masively reduced and is not noisy which I've had on previous bikes with screens which are too high. On a mate's private road, speeds up to 120mph seem more than comfy and sustained 3 figure continental cruising now seems more than feasible :D :D

Screens are always a bit of a personal thing on a naked bike I know, trying to make something practical that wasn't designed to be like that, but overall I think it blends with the lines of the bike well and isn't too visually obtrusive.

Not cheap, but I'd spend as much at the osteopath sorting my back after a trip to Europe without it

The rear bag is a Wolfman Peak Tail Bag, I've got the Touratech luggage plate and it fits neatly onto that.

Looks good..................just the MX seat to sort now:augie

Best day so far on the standard seat is 320 miles, but I've ordered an Airhawk pad for my trip to Italy, couple of mates have got them and swear by them. One is really tight and doesn't spend on accessories unless he feels he really has to, so that's good enough for me to try one ;).

Hey Joe, I have been trying to get in touch with the Italian screen manufacturers but have not had any replies. I love your screen and would like to get one. BTW the Airhawk is a good investment!

Almost all Italian factories close for the entire month of August, so you're not likely to get a response until September, at which point they'll probably have a mountain of emails to come back to, so probably best just waiting until then to contact them again.

Hi Joe,

We did the longest day from John O'Groats to Lands End which was around 870 odd miles for the day. Mate borrowed me his airhawk seat and once you get used to it very comfortable and recommend this if you going to do long miles. There is a smaller enduro version of the airhawk which should fit neatly on the HP2 seat.

Small ride report of the trip we did.....

Hi Marc, yes mine is the small version, and pleased with it so far.

You may have to wait when ordering as almost all Italian factories close for August.

Thank you Joe.
Can you show us a photo from inside (what you see when riding the best bike in the world) ? :D
I would like to know how it will be possible to fix my Zumo with this
screen ?
Thank you,

Thank you,

This is the only one I've got at the moment. I'm going to the Alps / Italy today on the MM, so I'll try for some more pictures with my tank bag, hand guards and Quest fitted as well.

Looking forward to seeing if the MM makes a good tourer :) :)

Thank you very much !! :thumb
I wish you a good journey in Italy and plenty of MMroads !! :D
Your experience will be very usefull for the few MM owners.

Do you intend to place a Xenon bulb for night driving ??

by far one of the best additions to my MM. Its so well made and integrated into the bike that you'd think it was OEM. I cant imagine riding the bike without it now.

But if you really want to wake this baby up the full AKRA titanium race exhaust is awesome. The bike never runs out of steam and the sound is just a bit louder than stock with the baffle in and much nicer sounding.

Joe, how does this screen fix to the bike? I see two black brackets there. Any other fixing points? Anything to remove/modify before fitting?

Very easy to fit, just the two brackets that fit to the top fork leg clamps, with spacers and longer bolts. You can see the bracket fixing a bit clearer in this picture.

Looks good and well thought out. Does it fit well around the headlamp cowling?

Any disadvantages with the screen, except the extra 1/2KG weight of course :D

The fit, finish and quality is excellent. It's also now being sold by Wunderlich - Megamoto "Speed Screen"

http://www.wunderlich.de/frame.php?...1&lay1=2&lay2=16&lay3=1&lay4=7&prodid=8110156

No disadvantages I've found yet, other than you tend to cruise much faster :augie

No noticeable difference in wind noise or buffeting, not to high, fits well, really worthwhile addition to the Megamoto, espescially if you ride distances.

I've been toying with the idea of getting this screen all winter.

Do I get one and enjoy the benefits of additional wind protection or do I keep the bike "pure"?

A few more questions Joe. Are you sure the Wunderlich screen is the same? Can't see any through-screen fixings for the brackets on their pic.

Also, I'm fairly sure there are 2 heights available - yours being the low version and fixinbones being the high version?
