Following on from this thread.

Some of the last 1100 GS's to roll off the production line were the limited edition Granada Dakar models. Only 200 were produced of which 37 were destined for the UK.

Mine was registered on 1st July 1999, the 1150 GS was available 3 weeks later for £8,250, my 1100 was £9,070.

So out of interest, who else here owns one of these rare beasts.

Didn't Steptoe have one as a loaner?

I remember riding it at some point.

I'm holding my head in same on behalf of all 1100 owners out there

How low have we stooped to get to the level off those girlie white SE owners and those granny Airhead owners that we have to have a register for an 1100

Plus it should have been done on the plastic tank 1100:hide

According to the Micapeak GS site - the colour scheme was available at an 'extra cost' I've no doubt that many were imported with this paint scheme and buyers 'got what they were given' - But also some chose not to. as was the case with my bike a 12/99 which was ordered in the Avus black/red seat combination.

And as such - not worthy of inclusion here. :blast

Yes he most certainly did :augie

And when it comes out of the accident repairers on Jan 16th with its new bits and shiny new painted tank and beak I'll add my entry which The BHT has already queried and validated as genuine and not a 'spray job moody one' :D

In the meantime, as a placeholder, here's a pic which shows more the proud new owner than the lush bike...

Yep, I had a feeling it was now yours:thumb

Maybe these registers are cunning ways of gradually finding out how many members of ...

UKGSERS. The UK's largest GS riding community

actually has a GS.

Can I just add the fact that I haven't got one,and if everyone that hasn't got one says so,then the ones that don't say anything must have one.

Simple:thumb

its good to see a good outcume from a simple question on a g/box...:drool crack onnnn

i know :thumb

you'd think the beaver heeded twat would have been on by now :mmmm
I'm useless with those Facebook things... and besides I don't really know who I'm talking to on there, next you'll be asking if I want to see your puppy dogs :D
