850 GS stolen

Hello

My Name is Adam and i live and work in Aberdeen and last night I had my BMW R 850 GS stolen from out side the house it was off road parking had the steering lock on and was chained up. I believe it was taken in-between the hours of 11pm and 6am I have contacted the police but as i don’t think ill see it again i thought i would ask the help of the fellow GS owners to lend me a hand looking for it my bike is everything to me and some little grubby no good thief has stolen it. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I'm sure Garfield won't mind that i've stuck this for a few days to keep it at the top... i hope you get it back
 
Adam, sorry to hear that. Will keep my eyes open for it (I work in Aberdeen and live down the coast a bit)

So sorry to hear that -(I actually read about it in todays P&J). I hope you get it back unharmed. I had one exactly the same and loved it and I've also had one stolen so know how gutted you must be.:(

Keep on to the Officer in charge of the crime so its in his mind. I'm offshotre at the mo so can't help much if at all I'm afraid.

aye thats a richt bummer i also have had this rotten experience
just a thought there cant be that many o these kicking aboot it might be worth watching oot on the bike trader and ebay for a good while. it would not hae the same reg but if ye had ony wee indviduall marks or things when ye go to look ye never ken:comfort
 
I just (last Friday) got my 1150 GSA back. It was stolen on May 20th and recovered a week later, but a combination of KGM insurance being useless scrotes and BMW managing to send part, wrong and late the replacement parts order...three times!

Funny thing is, the bike is back and mint, resprayed tank, new top box, shiney unscuffed rockers, but I still think I might sell it. Doesn't feel the same now :(

It's a horrible feeling and I sympathise completely
 
Thanks everyone i can only hope i get the bike back. I personally hope nothing good ever happens to thief’s they are the scum of the earth.

Got it back

Got the bike back just got it all fixed looking forward to taking it out in the highlands :)
 
Great news and now the bike has a wee story to tell too. Great ice breaker or conversation starter at dinner parties. Every cloud and all that :)

Thanks every one put a futher 6000 miles on the bike now still loving it and no i dont know whats happening to the bad guys but if they get out ill try and get a word with them.
 
Good news. Out of interest what chain did you have around the bike, and how was it cut?
