Stolen bike...how can I stop this??

I got 2 of the tiny Oxford disc locks that someone recommended on here. One for each front disc. They fit right in the gap between calipers and fork.

They are only little things but would be hard to attack due to access, probs have to cut both front discs. Awkward.

The weakest link is the below one.

I'm curious, why is the roadlok the weakest link?

My preferred solution to bike theft is the legalise the shooting of all thieves... They wouldn't try it more than once ! It's actually my preferred solution to a whole range of crimes. Not only would you solve the crime problem, but population reduction would help save the planet AND think of all the savings from the Benefits system...
Agreed,in an ideal world if that silver bullet mentioned earlier came out of the gun and ended up in the scrotes head he wouldn't be around to nick another bike.

Disc locks are just that

Locks for your disc's

All Buying the most expensive disc lock does, is make them go for the disc instead of the lock

If you want to defeat the push away, you have to make the bike immovable

A good D type lock through the discs & spokes / wheel webs or round the tyre is the better option , you want something that will foul wheel rotation

Anything you add over that is buying time

I'm surpirised that the insurance industry isnt pressing MC OEMS to improve security regarding pushaways

Auto engaging brakes on locking - locking the gearbox on locking the bike , anything to deter the push aways

Yet you ask tossers what they want on there bike and its propper indicators and back lit buttons ... go figure

While people spend 20 k on a bike and 50p on security we’re going to have problems
