Stolen bike...how can I stop this??

You’re correct, but anyone takes any of my bikes and gets caught, I can assure you that they will be having their meals through a straw for a while.

I’m happy to take the consequences

Play them at their own game; when you've finished drop em in the rd for someone else to find; and don't bother ringing the coppers;; you do have to have a certain amount of handyness and confidence for it to work;; oh; and no pansie slaps or they will just laugh at you;; good luck fellas; :D

So what. I have one for my peace of mind and knowing I can locate the bike. My mate recovered his after having it stolen.
I don't declare any security on my bike and the premium is acceptable.
Good for you

If you buy new or nearly new bike for over 20k ish you won't get a choice with most well known companies. Either fit an approved tracker or no insurance.

Hah trust me, they’d be in no condition to have a vote in proceedings. 👍🏽

For anyone interested in a tracker, I just bought a Monimoto 9 from MotoGB Shop where they offer 15% discount with code: SAVE15
£126.65 after discount and free delivery.

How does this differ from a Winnie TK tracker, various models on Amazon £45 - £60?

I use one of the above with a GiffGaff sim, costs around £1 pm. Works great as an alarm to my phone if the bike is disturbed. Battery last months on standby over winter and around two weeks on a trip, charges via USB.

Got no idea bud, I'm new to trackers as well. Just gone on Monimoto's great reviews.

I looked at those on Amazon and on Aliexpress but most don't have an IP rating and have crappy tracking apps/software.
Some reviews also mentioned poor GSM reception and sometimes not working in UK/EU so didn't want to risk it.

If yours from Amazon works well, that's great (y)

My 40th anniversary edition was nicked in 2024 from a lockup. Garage defender was ripped out of the ground to open the door and then the ground anchor chain was removed (and taken) along with the alarmed disk lock.

It had a Datatool unit that was removed a mile up the road and bike was disappeared.

My lockup was targeted again this week, this time the two garage defenders did their job but the door is a write off. The 4 balaclava’d all in black e-bikers were spotted and left. But it did get me wondering… I’ve not used the bike for a bit, so they’re either the same folk assuming I’ve replaced the bumblebee or they know it’s there some other way. Does the Datatool send out a ping that they can scan for? It obviously pings to the control centre and my phone when in alarm but I did wonder if in some way it’s a beacon saying “I’m over here”.

You can use your phone to search for unknown trackers, just Google the term to find out how. Try it near your Datatool to find out if it's detected.

Looks like Road Lock did his job. Fcking twats....

Keep up at the back. That has already been posted

Yes true. I'm not saying they're bad just not approved and will be an additional cost over an approved system. Either way likelyhood police won't do anything anyway. Someone I know had their car nicked few days days ago, tracker told him where it was, inside a garage. He told the police, they said "we can't go in there without permission" WTF within hours the car minus it's tracker was gone!

So yer fcking he'll what's the point.
.

There’s a few options ..
How’s about going and getting your own bike back. Take a couple of mates along, and Bobs your uncle.
Even funnier, call the police when you get there and tell them there could possibly be a bit of commotion about to go on :D

Or get there and let the scrotes see you calling the police .. :D
