would anyone know how much difference there is between the large and sport tt sump guards? from the pics it would look like its just the height at the front but is it also wider and longer ?

many thanks for your help

Have a look at the Twalcom kit.
They engine protection looks good.
I am trying to contact them at present.....
Once I have contact, if we need a few then maybe a deal can be done...

Timpo.

Large is the only way forward..................you won't regret it:D

Large (not rally) its good choice but not the best one. TT Rally is better but it is insanely over priced
Water pump and cooling hose are not protected (I had one hose drop after fall), both sides - alternator and clutch are also not covered ...
and material used is quite soft - after may of hard rides it must be straightened with large hammer...
if You will ride in realy rough terrain/ single tracks I will advise You to choose something alse...

Agreed................. I've had to weld mine, but at least it didn't wreck the frame

Get the wide bashplate , i've seen a couple of guys on adv using the sstandard plate with holed engine cases. One guy reckoned it lunched his engine and cost him $2500.:(

Be interested to see how you get on with Twalcom Timpo, still need an the front sprocket engine case saver thingy and a chain guide.

The german entry looks good and looks as if it would give more protection and at 129euros its seems a vgood price too, down side is loss of 10-15mm ground clearance, model on the shop website has less ventilation holes

I have just sent this chap this Email :thumb

Hi, i am interested in one of your sump guards part no ALMSG650X5BL, Would you be able to send this to the United Kingdom ? How much including postage and do you accept payment via Paypal ? Would you do any discount for a group buy ?
many thanks mark

Anyone else interested in one ?

Keep us updated i may be interested in a bashplate, keep putting off getting a Touratech one due to all the negative reports you read regarding delivery etc:thumb2

i think it s more of a uk thing with the franchised dealer in wales:eek:

i think i'd like one with the extra holes in it, more like the one in the original picture with the additional holes in the base for drainage of mud etc.

btw did anyone else look at the twalcom site? pivotpegs for 123 euros seems a good price, i think i'll be asking them for a price to the uk as well :augie

I got a reply from the chap in Germany ;)

" Hi Mark!

Thanks for your inquiry!

I accept paypal. Shipping to UK : 17 Euro and 129 Euro for the protection.
When you have a group buy, i can make you a special price. But first i must know how many you will order.

Greetings, Stephan Scheffelmeier "

So who wants one ????????
