I've noticed some marks forming on my fork legs which seem to be difficult to remove. I'm looking to place some form of protective film on them. Any suggestions from anyone?

Gray gas tape or duck tape as it's mostly known.
had it on me dakar all winter still on . not a bad match colour wise.

You gotta think outside the box........They're a motocross specialist so all you get are MX parts for MX bikes, but measure your forks & ask them for one to fit.

Cheers for the replies guys. I think I may try the carbon fibre jobs at some point soon.

It's actually DUCT tape, and not 'duck' tape.

For total protection of fork legs, tank etc try VentureShield. Its not cheap at £89.99 for a full kit, but offers lasting protection (so they say).Check out m&p website. Or just by those Motorax carbon fibre (or alumin weave, kevelar, etc) sticky sheets. Cost me about £6, did both forklegs, and still looks good after 14k.
Who are you protecting them for ?
Do you keep the polythene covers on yer car seats to keep them good for the next owner ?
Do you put throws over the couch to keep it nice ... for who ?
Cover yer nice shiney tank with plastic sticky on bits and baglux thingys to protect the paintwork ? So it looks shite when you own it and the next owner gets a shiney pristine tank.
Seems kinda silly to me.
