Wanted a spare cover as these will be easily lost or stolen.

Found a spare on Ebay, there £5 inc post. item number.....

360269298707

That is a good price as it includes P&P :thumb

Its £4.99 plus £2.90 P&P from Garmin.

If the bike mount connectors get wet when you fit the sat in the rain, will it damage it? Just a bit worried as going to Scotland and it might rain?

Any problems with it shorting out when wet?

No.

I have never used the cover from day one. The mount (and the 660) have got plenty wet, too.

If powered and wet there is the possibility of electrolytic corrosion in the longer term, especially if power remains 24/7 (i.e. with the ignition off).

ISTR that permanently mounted, and powered, Garmin Quest cradles suffered from this.

And 26xx / 28xx and the little sprung bit of metal became springy no more :(
