I could soon be on the lookout for another 1100.

Looking around the values appear to differ quite a lot.

So what's the collective thinking on the value of the 1100 ?

Lets say for a very nice 98 99 bike with under 30k mls.

I know it's a little out of the parameters above, but I've just paid £2600 for a very tidy 99, full BMW luggage and history with 37k.

That's not far off what I paid for mine with 32,000 mile on 3 years ago, paid £2,400. I was after a clean standard bike.

1100's are no way as common as 1150's. It'll be interesting to see which model retains their value best as they start to age.

I reckon in 10 years time a silver 1150GSA will be the most expensive, slightly more than other GSA colours, with 1100s close behind. 1150GSs a little cheaper.

Thanks for the input folks.

I'm now actively looking for a very nice 99 1100. Upto 3k for the right bike.

I've watched the price of secondhand parts rocket for these bikes and that means they become worth more broken up. It's a tragedy but inevitable that many perfectly good bikes will end their days on a stack of shelves.

Absolutely definitely right, that.

But then I would say that, as I have a silver 1150GSA......

I have just stumped up £3,500 for a Jap re-import 1999 1100 with 20,000 miles on it. I bought on condition, and it is sweet as a nut. I'm happy :beerjug:
