Give them a call2023 model ?
Says 2024 on their web page: https://gear4motorcycles.co.uk/2024-ktm-790-duke-pre-reg-deals-call-today/2023 model ?
That has to be a bargain at face value. With all the bad press on forums and in the news it would make sense for KTM UK to make a statement on their website about their commitment to the uk, the status of their dealer network, the future prognosis for the 790 engines built in this year, and their commitment to honouring any subsequent warranty changes.
In the absence of the above, as a potential buyer you are left wondering if it could all go tits up imminently.
Fair enough but I still think it needs some sort of 'update' on their website home page, it's unclear without an internet trawl what's going on they could hopefully give a bit of clarity for prospective purchasers to provide some encouragement you aren't buying a bike from a manufacturer thats about to cease trading.Problem is that until the position of KTM is resolved (which looks to be getting closer) there would be no credibility behind any such statement.
Looks a great deal though and if I was in the market for such a bike I would have no issue buying one for what is effectively second hand bike money![]()
I get the point.....but it is this annual KTM fire sale that has been a small part in their downfall in as much as there are only so many times you can screw over a customer who's paid £15k for his £15k bike only to find that KTM are banging them out vat free 3 months later for £12k....so his now 2nd hand bike is worth £10k or less....Looks a great deal though and if I was in the market for such a bike I would have no issue buying one for what is effectively second hand bike money![]()

You'd imagine so...but judging by some of the questions folk ask on here...a motorcycle forum....plenty of people are thick and many seem blinded by 'must have a new bike on the drive in Spring' mentality..........but shirley everyone knows that KTM have major discounts on a regular basis - it is hardly a secret![]()

Agreed but imagine how a Sept 1st or later Ktm purchaser ( buying at close to list) must feel to see the resale of their bike slashed by what 60-70% ?I would have no issue buying one for what is effectively second hand bike money![]()

Apart from the water pump / oil seals being made of fucking plasticine!but AFIAK the 390's are fine,
I see there is £5500 of a Multistrade right now, see £4k off a Fireblade, £5k of an Aprillia RSV, £2k of Triump Exploders, and the same happens every year, but people bang on about this being a KTM thing, weird.
Now, right now there really is a fire sale on some KTM's, personally i'd steer clear of a parralel twin until someone has 100% found a fix for the cam issues, but AFIAK the 390's are fine, as are the other singles and the V-Twins, any of them cropping up at the price of a 3 year old competitors machine is well worth a punt.
£5k off a 1290 and i'm gonna be checking down the back of the sofa.

Yes, but compared to £20k+ for a BMW or Ducati it is a bloody good deal in theory....you're still spending £13k. despite how much money is off .
like a woman saving £50 on a pair of shoes ....she still spent £150.
Hold tightYes, but compared to £20k+ for a BMW or Ducati it is a bloody good deal in theory....
....But not sure the 4 year warranty is worth the paper it is printed on with the current status of KTM, and with 300,000 bikes in warehouses I doubt it is the last one either, ti's the last one at £13k, until the market is flooded with even cheaper ones?
Or do KTM think they will get people paying £18k for them again in spring, I reckon there is more chance of Barry Sheen winning MotoGP this year.
