► Exhaust options/problems and CAT

Anyone got the Arrow can?

Apologies if been discussed before - long thread!

Otherwise I'm looking at the Leo Vince...

Thanks

Leo Vance

I got the Leo Vance Carbon, and love it! Had to cut the decibel killer in half to get it to play the tune I wanted, but otherwise worth the cost.If you get one,you wont regret it...

Is the sooty deposit on the top of the exhaust something i shouldn't worry about?

Paddy just seen your post :blast (thanks for the heads up info) :thumb2

Anyhow Zorst !

At the moment I have Remus Polished stainless steel De-cat into which is my akropovic.

But it’s all change to original headers as posted before decatted.

as I post this they are with Camcoat who are going to ceramic coat inside and outside of my zorst in silk black (helps flow, but as they say not so important on zorst, but in and out is better heat shield which may keep its look :nenau) after a while they say it will go more matt black

Gabriel GS started a thread which colour headers:

And he is going for a chrome coating.. (What really seems unknown is the lasting finish, time will tell.

The cost for min £80-£90. And turn around is 4 weeks ish.

Here is some pictures of the work to Date look at that precious metal in the cat (all work in pictures by Chad I swear he uses his teeth as a vice :D :D)

will post finished results on there return, but for now...

Big thank you to Chad :thumb2 :beerjug:

Hi Puma, why have you decided to go back to the standard pipes? I would have considered it because the bash plate and crash bars didn't fit around the Remus system, but since they've been modified I really like the Remus pipes.

Hi EmmwttC,

Yes my bash plate and crash bars were adapted for the remus, but the bash plate was lowered and I want to raise it as I want to ride more trails. I think it will look more Rugged:blast raised where it should be (was).

also I like the thought of black headers on the black engine..

bike will be like a bruiser black and blue all over :D :D

My remus headers which of course fit the F800GS are going to be for sale once my original are back from Camcoat. will post in the for sale.

They are that shiny when I stare into them I see an ugly man :nenau

If you had done your homework and looked at my post 278 you would have seen that you only needed to take one cut at the exhaust, and not hack it in to umpteen bits ;)

Mmmm Horny - better than the shite finish they all end up with ...

Ok - what was the final cost of the coating - and how long will it stay like that?

Thanks :D :D :beerjug:

trying to get the bike a more black look got the pipe idea from Gabriels thread

(over at the dark side)

http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=260858

Camcoat quoted £90.00 for inside and out as the cats removed main anvantage being that its better heat transfer properties, Its a ceramic coating in which I opted for the black. its a thin coating but smooth, Camcoat say in time it will go a matt black! final cast with dreaded VAT and postage = 124.00....

how long it will stay good time will tell !

but as mentioned im turning most shiny bitts black so mostly black n blue.

I have a further Black idea lurking in the shadows :D :D :D

Of course the cheapest option for "black" wheels on the 650GS is simply not to clean them - works a treat for me :D

What about the fork lowers? Are you going to get them done in black too?
