If the SignalMinder is just to cancel the turn-signal blinkers I don't think you need it ... at least in USA models this is a standard feature. The turn blinker gets canceled after a variable amount of time based on the bike's speed......
I could be missing something ...

There's also a timer on my euro-spec F800GS indicators, but this doesn't work well when
a) there's a need to cancel the indicator fast before next exit or straight to avoid signalling a planned turn when you actually go straight ahead etc.
b) I pass a long caravan of slow moving cages for more than 20 secs. - i.e. the darn indicator switches off and requires reactivation
Anyway, for me it's a liability to struggle with this daft BMW 3-button switch setup for several thousand km's while adapting from my 30 years+ left-thumb-only indicator switch usage on other motorcycles.

I find the F650 Dakar 1-switch indicator system far safer in that respect after having used it four winter seasons in snowy conditions with thick mittens and handlebar muffs. The BMW 3-button setup severly disturbs my throttle control for too long before I adapt - and I find this too risky. What irritates me is that the BMW setup makes me a more vulnerable motorcyclist in this adaptation period. The first week I was sent out of roundabouts too fast and into opposite lanes twice before I mastered it adequately. Luckily there was no oncoming traffic...
At the end of the day this system irritates the hell out of me since it actually adds to my on-the-road hazards. As if a motorcyclist doesn't have enough of those from before.

Yes, I know it's been around for 25 years since the K-series came, but that doesn't make it an ergonomic success in my book. YMMV
