I`ve got 1,does a good job keeping the crud off of my lovely Ohlins:drool,.Bit of a fiddle to fit,but clear instructions make it fairly straightforward.Reasonable compared to some of the overpriced competition (Mudsling anyone?) and just as effective (IMHO);)
Ps.Piece of old wetsuit makes a good shock guard too!

Wunderlich Hugger

I have a Wunderlich Hugger on my F800GS. Looks good and does not stand out too much so really noticable. Keeps the underside fairly clean. In all honesty a bit if a pain to fit but would recommend one :thumb2

Just to add another make of hugger -

I bought one from Motorworks. Pyramid Plastix. There's a great 10 minute video on Youtube which I actually watched before starting to fit the hugger.

Took 2 hours ! Bolts locked and a complete lack of room to work. Boy was I pi55ed off last might  :D

Reckon I could do another in 20 minutes if it didn't have locked bolts. Almost a shame I won't be :)

Looks ok and I reckon it will do the job nicely but I do wish the brackets were stainless as they are going to take some crap and corrode over time no doubt.

Hi,

I have this installed in my F800GS... Easy to install and does the job (atleast for me) Not really a hugger though.

Wunderlich Rear Splashguard

I fitted one of these when I first bought the bike, (F800GS), a waste of money. It's too short to offer any protection to the rear shock. The spray and crap from the rear wheel flies straight over the top of it. (Looks cool though !!).

I fitted the Machine art Mudsling front and rear from Nippynormans, really neat quick to fit and look like they were OEM. The rear in particular is almost un-noticeable but keeps the rubbish off the shock. I was skeptical about the two tie wraps but I need no have worried. Buy as a pair they are cheaper.

F650GS Rear Shock Mudflap

Have a look at the shock mud guard made from a heavy duty inner tube held in place with a piece of bent Ally. Cost next nothing and completey protects the rear shock. Also included are a few other homemade bike protection additions, may not be OEM pretty but certainly do the job.

Hi gbreffitt, have a look at post no 50, shows a mudflat made from an old inner tube which completely protests the rear shock.

+2 for the 'mudsling'. It fits like it was made for the bike-oh-it was-I'll get my coat.

+3 on the Mudsling. Front and rear fitted to my F8GS from day one. Buy as a pair for a nice saving. The rear does the job of protecting the shock whilst being almost invisible when you look at the bike. Amazing bit of kit. :thumby::D
