Saw that plate at the dirtbike show, nice anodised, wish id waited before gettin the TT one now, oh well, its just a plate with holes at the end of the day lol..

I had the TT plate but after one trip around Europe the Alu has marked quite a bit. What you see now on my bike is the anodized prototype for the Adventure-Spec rear plate. There are some nice differences on it. The cut outs along the side run parallel to each other and don't splay out like TT's. This means straps don't go off at odd angles.

This version compliments the bike much better than the TT one. It also has a couple of punch holes which I've found are very handy for slinging a tool tube underneath the rear rack.

I have to say A-Spec have done it again :thumb2

Green Laning in Surrey with the TRF

Here are some pictures I took today. I went out with some of the guys from the TRF surrey group. Very good bunch of people and I enjoyed it a lot.
Some of the lanes were quite hard and I dropped the bike a couple of times when (no scratches I think.. I need to check it out after washing it!) but managed to keep up with them.
I didn't get the Adv-Spec bars in time but I wasn't gonna miss the fun!.
The TCK80 were good most of the time but they were hopeless in deep mud.
The bike ended up a lot more covered in mud than what you can see on the pictures! it's gonna be hard work cleaning the thing though!

Cheers

Looks like you had a nice day!

A good tip I got is to use second gear where you might be inclined to use first in deep mud and you'll find that because the engine doesn't sound as frantic, that you spin the rear wheel faster and this helps fling off mud caught in the treads. Worked really well for me.

Brings back happy memories for me back when i backpacked around aussie in winter of 1997.
Had a coach trip to the 12? apostles then back to melbourne and hired a gixxer 600 f and helmet and bombed back down the ocean road.
Stopped of at a great cafe which was full of bikers sorry can't remember the name but what a road and veiws, top place beats going around the TT coarse anytime.
