F800 GS Tyres

Hi Guys , I am needing 2 new tyres , mainly road use with occasional gentle off road . Pesenly fitted with Pirelli Scorpion trail , any sugestions as to what might be better .

Living in Scotland I need tyres that grip in the wet so I have fitted Annakee 2's on my 650 and last weekend going to, and coming from Ullapool proved the wet grip. :thumb2

Dunlop TR91 came out first place in a german enduro tyre test 2 months ago, especially performance in the wet and stability were remarkable.

I put them on both our bikes, am sticking with them, cannot fault them, very happy.

Greggers, I see that you are also happy with them, what pressure do you put in??
 
Annakees on my F8GS - ace in wet and dry and pretty handy when off road as well, as long as you don't try and be too brave in very wet mud of course.

Just my experience so far.

Still experimenting as personally I don't hold with having too high pressures in the tyres ... I'd rather run them a little soft and get a little more flex in them ... At the moment I have (cold) 28 in the front and 35 in the rear which I think is about 5psi down from recommended... YMMV of course

yes, it's funny, Dunlop says 1.8/1.9 bar in their tyre fitment guide, I found that too low, perfect and comfortable at low speed, but a bit wobbly at high speed, 130+ or so, so I put in 2.0/2.2, which is better already, only with panniers on a slight weave at 140+, but that is also due to turbulance, I tried 2.2/2.5 this week (=recommandation for 1200GS), which makes it rock stable. So plenty of options there.

the company is Pneus: they are a French company with outlets here I beleive, you can not by over the phone as I enquired so the webb site it is (Car and bike tires to choose first a great very easy to use online site) the young lady I spoke to informed me the best way and easiest way to search is to use the drop down box's and input your sire sizes then you can see the tire choice clearer :thumb

only 300 miles into my tires just getting used to them no rain yet, not that I,m dancing for the Rain but will need to learn my self confidence and not bambi on ice :blast (I,m showing my tires respect at first) then I'm going to show them who's Boss :whip :pullface :blast) :D

Lord Vader from the Dark side of this parish (12GSA) put me on to Pneus has had big mileage on his first set he is a big mileage kind of guy :D and now has a new second set :thumb2
