Thanks for the detail info. I was having a tank bag n my spare key is very near the ignition . Tat could have corrupt the signal

I'm suspecting that the ecu is trying to study the temperature change at different condition. So as to get the ideal combustion . I'm in Asia country n it can get very hot day (37degress Celsius ) and next raining the whole week another day. it now running smoothly will see how it goes.

Is this the thread you hope never to have to use??

Bike started cutting out yesterday on the way back from work (rode fine there). Cutting out repeatedly when returning to idle. Sometimes will idle and when started it does idle fine, it just appears when slowing down.

One thing I did notice is there is a lot more popping on overrun from the exhaust.

Charged the battery overnight and filled up with fuel, has made no difference.

What are the latest thoughts on the cause of the problem as there does not seem to be a definitive answer? I have had the bike over a year and this is the first time it has happened

Thanks

Alex

Update to previous post....fixed

Dirty IAC (Idle actuation control valve).

The nose of the vavle had got a black gummy residue on it which came off with some brake cleaner. I also ran the IAC reset and calibration on the GS911.

Back to idling normally and the overrun has gone back to its normal level.

Probably far too late a reply to be relevant but I don't check in that often (a bit more now that I am feeling the start of a hankering for an F800GS (it would be my third)).

I currently own a K1300R. The K1300 series occasionally suffer from stalling, usually when accelerating from standstill, say when moving off from traffic lights. While no complete resolution has been found (to my knowledge), I strongly suspect that it has to do with a less than fully charged battery. Could it be that the 800 twins also require a well charged battery to avoid unexpected stalling?
